THROUGH ISAAC’S EYES

Today father woke me up earlier than usual and asked me to help the servant saddle the donkey with wood for a sacrifice; was so excited. We left immediately and traveled for three days.It was a tiring journey but father looked so pensive; was wandering what was happening. We finally got to the mountain and father asked me to carry the wood and come along with him to the mountain top; But why were we leaving the servant behind? why was he allowing me to carry the wood? and most importantly, where is the lamb for the sacrifice? what is happening?!. All he said was "God himself will provide the the lamb for the burnt offering my son"

We finally got to the mountain top (I think father is in good shape for an old man), we prepared the altar of sacrifice, but I still did not see the animal. Father asked me to lie on the altar; What? Me?. Dont remember resisting, but I felt  the ropes on my hands and feet, as he bound me on the altar. I watched his eyes and could see the conviction. With one hand he covered my eyes and I felt him reaching for his pocket knife with the other!. What is happening?!.......................I think time froze at that moment..............................[why was father doing this? me? his one and only son? the only heir to his wealth? the one he has waited for all these years?...]

But then I heard a strong voice cutting through the silence "Abraham!"
He called father twice, and directed him to an ewe stuck in the bush. I knew it was a messanger from the Lord because I remember the stories father had told me about HIM. The angel assured father of the Lord's promise to make his descendants numerous because he had not hesitated to sacrifice me to HIM; so that was what was happening!. We descended the mountain but Iknew my life will never be the same. Father called the place; THE LORD WILL PROVIDE.

To what extent will you sacrifice for the Lord? To what extent will you trust in HIS providence? will your mantra also be;THE LORD WILL PROVIDE?
